The Art of Photography
I'm not including a photo for today's diary, but rather a book recommendation. Many people tell me that photography today is just "clicking" a button. I've work hard to explain to people that photographers are artists. Photography requires time to not only to learn your craft, but create art. Photographs connect with people. They speak to the view ... or that is the ultimate goal.
The Art of Photography by Bruce Barnbaum expresses exactly what I believe and explains it so much better that I can. I'm enjoying reading every page. I really like my photographs and I'm very proud of them. I wouldn't showcase them if I didn't. But in reading this book, it really has encourage me to expand my views and continue helping other people come to realize that photographers are artists.
