I want a pet portrait. What's do I do?

I’d be honored to be considered to paint a portrait of your fur baby. I try to give you the questions I’m usually asked 🐶🎨🤎

You send me a photo of your baby. I suggest one that has good light and where I can see their beautiful eyes and face. See more tips below.

Paintings start at $200. Unframed. Only one pet per painting. To add more pets to a painting, there’s $50 per pet to add

Mother’s Day special $175 for a 12x16 or $25 off any size. Expires: 4/30/2021

I paint in watercolor. The final painting will be on high-quality watercolor paper, as opposed to canvas.

12x16 - $200
16x20 - $350
18x24 - $475
22x30 - $675
* Larger sizes are quoted depending on size and complexity.

A 50% installment fee is required to begin the project. The timeframe is about 2-6 weeks after receipt of payment for the installment. Varies on my calendar schedule at that time.

The balance is due when completed. Shipping is added and if you’re in California, sales tax is required. US Shipping: is approximately $18 for smaller sizes (12x16) via USPS and I get quotes for larger sizes or other carriers. Quotes for international shipping

If you want, we can schedule a time to talk. Via phone, FaceTime or zoom.

Thank you. Here’s a few tips on pet photos.

Photo tips A tip for the photo:
Exercise them first. Being a little tired will help them sit and relax. For dogs, it helps bring out their smiles 😊

Make sure their face is facing the light. To get a good picture of their face. And try first thing in the morning or an hour before sunset. The light is soft and it will bring out their colors. And if they’re food motivated, use that too!

Maybe bring another person to stand behind you with a toy or treat

Look at the background. Is there clutter around? Or have them sit against a blank wall or on a blanket.
